**UPDATE**I just returned from the dentist and a cleaning. The technician said that my teeth had significantly less plaque and tartar buildup.The toothbrush has held up to daily use and shows no signs of stopping or failing!**Original Review Below**Let me start this review by saying that this is the 2nd Pursonic brand sonic toothbrush that I’ve bought. The first that I bought was on one of those deal a day sites. I was so impressed with how clean my teeth felt, I decided that all my family members needed one. That’s when I found this one.This model does everything, there’s an interchangeable head for flossing, for tongue scraping, for interdental and of course a metric S#!& ton of color coded brush heads. This was perfect for my BIL and sister to share the toothbrush and each have a unique brush, and enough brushes to last them for greater than a year, if they replace every 3 months as recommended. This model also has a covered storage compartment to put all the accessories so that they don’t get contaminated.There are 3 modes of operation that you toggle through by pushing the only button on the handle. High – was too high for me to start with. It tickled my gums, which wasn’t unpleasant. I found the low setting to be a nice place to start and after about 2 weeks I was able to acclimate and now use the high setting. The third mode is massage and I will sometimes use this after I’ve brushed my teeth on my gums. Massage mode just seems to alternate vibration at random intervals. I prefer constant vibration, but that’s my preference..The brush and accessory handle stand upright on the charging stand. It plugs into a traditional grounded outlet. The power cable is permanently attached to the base. I appreciate that as there is little chance it will come unplugged and isn’t exposed to water. The charging base is molded and sealed plastic, again nice for wet areas. It appears to charge by induction, so the internal battery isn’t exposed to water splashes and humid conditions of a bathroom.The 2 minute timer feature looks to be pretty common amongst sonic toothbrushes. This unit does that as well. After selecting the operating mode it will pause briefly every 30 seconds, reminding you to switch to another area to brush. After 2 minutes it stops. I have long heard from my dentist and commercials that I’m supposed to brush for 2 minutes. Until I bought my Pursonic toothbrush, I had not ever brushed my teeth for the recommended amount of time. Now, because of this built in timer, I always brush for the 2 minutes. A simple change in my toothbrush was all I needed to adopt better dental habits. I’m even flossing!I am pleased with the model that I first bought. Unfortunately it doesn’t have the accessories that this one does, but mine came with a germ killing UV light in the brush storage compartment. If germ killing UV lights from the future are your thing, there are plenty to be found on amazon as stand alone units.

Absolutely extremely nice product. My boyfriend bought me this model last year and I was so happy with it I just purchased this one for my daughter and a blue one for my son. The motor is very powerful and my gums are healthier than ever. The charge lasts a lot longer than my $200 Oral-B did and I love all of the attachments it comes with. My entire family uses this product, we each have our own now, I’m highly satisfied.

this is my second purchase of this product and the first has served me well but lost the extra brush heads and it was more cost effective to buy another brush with exrta heads than to buy just the replacement heads. Dentist has noticed a difference and actually asked me what i was brushing with. cuz she had to do little work to clean my teeth. I gave the extra power head to my wife so she can have better checkups too
